Majorca Memories

We had our first family holiday as ‘just us 3’ this year at the end of July.

5 nights in Majorca, and it was perfect 😊

We actually stayed in Magaluf, which is not the type of place you immediately think of for a family holiday! πŸ™ˆ

However I really cannot fault it.

Beautiful beaches, family friendly restaurants, lots of entertainment… it ticked all our boxes!

We stayed half board at Sol Guadalupe which I was rather impressed with. It was immaculately presented with modern decor, the food was lovely, as were the staff.

They had children’s entertainment around the pool every day and also a mini disco every evening.

We found so many lovely places to eat along the beach front.

In the day we would wander down and get some tapas and in the evening the beach front would be perfect for families as all the party goers would be down “the strip”.

Whilst we were there we took a day trip to Marine Land which was fantastic for Jessie. Although she was in a bit of a bad mood that day, typical πŸ™„

We watched the dolphin show which was just brilliant, as well as a parrot show which Jessie absolutely loved. She’s got a thing for birds at the moment!

It was the hottest day of our trip when we were there and we did struggle to keep cool. They had a private beach (which disappointingly had no breeze) with showers, which we went and stood under just to try and cool down!

Most evenings we ate in the hotel, which was an all inclusive style meal. Then we would go to the mini disco for Jessie to have a boogie and then most nights we ended up in Mano’s, a nice little bar across the road from our hotel.

I’d have a cocktail (or two!) and Jessie would have a mocktail … she was in her element!!

One night, we ate in a nearby restaurant called Las Palmeras by Nikki Beach. They do really good steaks so we treated ourselves!

We spent one day on the beach, well most of the time we were in the sea! We didn’t bother hiring sun loungers, instead we bought a cheap parasol from a little shop and set up camp with our beach towels!

Every evening I begged Matt for us to do a little photo shoot πŸ˜‚

I’m so pleased we did as I love some of the photos we managed to get.

On our first day by the pool Jessie was being a real wimp and seemed to be scared of the water. However by the end of our holiday she loved playing in the pool with her little watering can and bucket 😊

We couldn’t decide whether to go and see The Pirates Dinner Show as we have heard really good reviews. In the end we thought that Jessie was probably just a bit too young to appreciate it so we didn’t bother.

I have very fond memories of our little family holiday and hope we will be lucky enough to go away again next summer πŸ’›

Here are some of my favourite photos 😊
