If you know me, you will know that I love Tropic Skincare. In fact, I recently uploaded of a video of my everyday make up routine on my You Tube Channel and I think it’s rather clear that I also love their make up range too! Everything I use is Tropic… apart from my mascara – I am a longstanding Max Factor fan on that front.
If you haven’t heard of Tropic before, it’s a natural skincare brand which only uses ingredients from flower and plant extracts. They believe that the natural world can provide us with all the goodness that our skin needs and make use of all the vitamins and antioxidants that nature has to offer. In addition to this, all their products are free from parabens, SLS, alcohol, gluten, toxic chemicals and are 100% vegan and cruelty free.
All items are freshly handmade and even have a ‘use by’ date like food products do! I really do find it fascinating.
Every evening I use their ABC Collection, which consists of a cleanser, toner and moisturiser. Since discovering their products over 18 months ago, I wouldn’t dream of using anything else to remove my make up. I had always been a make up wipe kind of girl, but I now realise how much these irritated my skin. I look forward to and enjoy taking my make up off now!
I use 2-3 pumps of the cleanser and rub all over my face and eyes. Then I wet the bamboo cloth with hot water and simply wash my face. It is such an effective yet gentle cleanser and easily removes all traces of my make up.
After this, I spray the vitamin toner onto my face and finish with 1 pump of the skin revive moisturiser.I’d say the cleanser lasts me about 2-3 months, the moisturiser 3-4 months and the toner 6+ months, so to me, they really are good value products too.
I use the skin revive moisturiser in the morning too, before applying my make up, and feel it provides me with a good base. It quickly sinks into the skin and is not at all greasy.
Every few weeks I will use the face smooth exfoliator, and let me tell you… it is so good! My face is so silky smooth afterwards. The exfoliating granules are not harsh whatsoever; they are spherical so they roll over your face, picking up dirt and dead skin cells as they go.
Another firm favourite of mine is my beloved Sun Drops. When I remember to, I just mix a couple of drops in with my moisturiser in the evening and wake up feeling sun kissed! I really feel like they are fool proof. I’ve never woken up thinking, oh god I look tangoed! I don’t even end up with a white line around my neck or anything like that, where I’ve not blended it in. It just gives me a little bit of colour and my make up seems to go on much nicer too.
And that’s my skincare routine! I would highly recommend trying Tropic if you haven’t already. They also provide a 30 day happiness guarantee, so even if you have used the products but are not happy with them, they will give you a full refund. Can’t say fairer than that!
