Last weekend we had a lovely little family trip to Bowness on Windermere in the Lake District.
Our first stop was Chocco Bar where we had the most delicious hot chocolate and amazing waffles! The customer service was second to none and I highly recommend you visit if you are ever in Bowness.
We had Josie dog with us and sat outside as it was a lovely sunny day, but I believe dogs are also allowed inside if the weather isn’t on your side!
We then went for a stroll through the town, it’s a lovely place with cute little shops like Joules and L’occitane.
We considered going to The World of Beatrix Potter however dogs were not allowed inside so we opted for a cruise across the lake instead where dogs travel for free! Ideally we would have gone for the ‘blue cruise’ which was 45 minutes long however there were no more boats doing that route so we went for the ‘yellow cruise’ instead which was 70 minutes. I was worried Jessie would get bored however she made friends with a little girl sat behind us and also enjoyed looking out for the other boats and ‘castles’ that we passed.
We had such a lovely day and I can’t believe I’ve never been seeing as it’s only an hour up the motorway. I’ve always thought that you would need to stay the night really but it’s totally doable to just go for the day. We will definitely back this year!
