Sea Shore Detectives – 10am to 11.30am – get your wellies on and explore the seas edge for marine life. FREE event, no need to book just turn up! Meet at North Beach Car Park, St Anne’s.

Themed Treasure Hunt at Lowther Pavillion – 10am to 12pm, follow the clues and directions around Lowther Gardens and see if you can win a prize!

Chitty Chitty Bang Bang at Lytham Hall Picnic Cinema – bring your own chairs and rugs along to this outdoor cinema, starts at 6.30pm, adults £10 and children £5. Free parking available

8th August 2019

Beach Art Competition – FREE event – 1pm – 2.30pm, meet at the bottom of the slipway to the left hand side of Fairhaven Road Car Park. Bring your bucket and spade, all entries will be judged at 2pm and the top 3 will win a prize!

Sooty’s Birthday Bake Off Live Stage Show at North Pier Theatre – tickets are only £4.95 – showings at 11am, 1pm and 3pm


8th – 26th August 2019

Bubble & Bounce at Guy’s Thatched Hamlet – over 30 bouncy castles, slides, soft play, giant inflatables and kids rides.  Admission is £5 per child for 45 minutes (adults free when accompanying child) Age from toddler to 14 years.  Sessions start on the hour every hour from 10am to 5pm.


9th August 2019

Rock pool Ramble – Meet at the Glitter Ball opposite the Solaris Centre for this FREE event from 10am – 11.30am. Bring a bucket and small net if you have one

Wild Families Fairies & Goblins afternoon – 2pm to 4pm at Brockholes Nature Reserve. Tickets cost £5 per person for early bird and under 2’s go free

Family Fitness Festival – 10am to 4pm at Lytham Hall, tickets cost £10 per person or £30 for a family of 4


9th – 11th August 2019

St Anne’s International Kite Festival – evening illuminated kite flying on the evening of the 9th (times tbc) and 11am – 5pm on the 10th and 11th. We went last year and loved it! Check out my little video to see what it’s like during the day. Dogs aren’t allowed on the beach where the actual festival is (even on a lead) so best to leave them at home for this one.
